Boys' Senior Soccer 2014-15

SoccerGood start to Leinster Cup campaign

TCS 1 Blackrock 1 (TCS won 3 – 1 AET)
Congratulations to the Boys Senior Soccer squad who defeated Blackrock College in The Leinster cup on Wed (8th Oct) on a score of 3 goals to 1 after extra time.
This was the first competitive fixture on the new playing pitch and a great start with 2 goals by Daragh Monks and a goal by Luke McArdle.

Marking a Milestone for our 1st Year Students

On Wednesday 24th September 2014, our first year students gathered together for prayer, reflection, song, art and procession to mark the beginning of their new journey in Tallaght Community School.This joyful occasion was the result of the hard work and fruitful contributions from the religion teachers and their first year groups.

Ms Conlon invited her 1 Shannon class to create a beautiful and bright sacred space at the front of the hall. With their creative minds, Ms Conlon’s class managed to transform the hall into a display of spiritual energy and colour.

GermanConnects comes to TCS

GermanConnects visitOn Thursday, 29th May 2014, the Deutschmobil came to Tallaght Community School to visit the First Year German class. The Deutschmobil is a touring bus that has been visiting schools throughout Ireland for the past year as part of the language campaign German Connects.

Miriam and Vega, the two German teachers, brought coulourful and entertaining games to help the students learn about the German language and Germany. The students really enjoyed the visit, and they showed great enthusiasm for the activities.

Junior Rugby 2014-15

RugbyJunior Cup Rugby

A huge pat on the back to the Junior Cup rugby team on their victory against Holy Family CS, Rathcoole on Wed (8th Oct). A 28-10 scoreline in the first round of the Leinster Development Cup is a great start to the season. Ar aghaidh libh lads!


 

Information Evening LC students/parents

Information for LC students & parents/guardians

The information evening for Leaving Cert students and parents/guardians takes place next Monday evening (15 Sept) at 7.00 pm in the school hall.  Topics to be covered will include study routines for the year leading to the June exams, and how to negotiate the CAO process for higher education, as well as alternative paths into further education and the world of work. Don't miss it.
