TCS is thrilled to resume its business link for 2010-11 with Johnson & Johnson as part of the Business In The Community Scheme. This year, 5th year students applied to become a part of the Mentoring Programme. Seven successful students were selected on the basis of their applications to take part in this initiative, and are in the process of being paired with a Johnson & Johnson employee.
Each month, the student will take the trip to the Johnson & Johnson plant on the Airton Road where they will be mentored on activities such as CV preparation, Interview Skills, Work Shadowing, to name a few. The successful students chosen were : Karen Sewell, Louise Harnett, Cindy Ling, Ciara Henry, Richard Martin, Aoife Cahill and Grace Kenny.
The next stage in this programme will be the launch party which will take place in the second week of December. It is then that the students will meet their mentors for the first time and forge a relationship with them. Watch this space for more news and photographs!
