Healthy Eating and Living

Healthy Eating and Living Programme for 1st Years

Recently, our 1st Year students were given the opportunity to participate in a two part module on what it means to have a healthy diet and the benefits that this can have on one’s general wellbeing . This was extra special as the nutritionist delivering the programme was a past pupil of the school.  The feedback was very positive our students were very engaging and were coming up with great ideas and solutions to various issues that were discussed during the modules.

Darkness into Light 2017

TCS Active Schools 2017

On Saturday May 6th, as part of our Active and Well-being initiative, students and staff from TCS took part in the Darkness into Light Walk/Run in the Phoenix Park, organised by Pieta House. Sixty-one students and 14 teachers signed up for the event which aims to create awareness around the issues of suicide and self-harm. The event also raises much needed funds to provide services all over the country to support anyone affected by these issues. All students and staff had a great time and were delighted to be able to support such a worthy cause. Pics

TCS Drama Soc 2017

TCS Drama Society Perform Hacktivists

TCS Drama SocOn Wednesday 26th April TCS Drama Society made their Tallaght Arts acting debut as part of Act Up Festival’17 in Rua Red. After many weeks reading through the script, learning lines and rehearsals ‘Hacktivists’ came to life under the theatre lights. The students did an amazing job bringing the technical script to life with a great balance of drama and comedy gripping the attention of the audience from action to curtains down.

In February the students chose the play ‘Hacktivists’ from a selection sent to the school from Act Up Festival’17, as they felt it was a play they could relate to. As part of the festival the students took part in a workshop helping not only their acting skills but helping develop their directing abilities.
